When is the Call For Papers open?

The CFP for Devoxx UK 2025 will open on November 4th, and remain open until early January. We will then start informing speakers of our decisions and making announcements shortly afterwards

What is on the Schedule?

General Timings of a Devoxx UK event

Wednesday:

  • Registration from 08:00
  • Opening keynote sessions from 09:00
  • Conference sessions run from 10:40 to 18:00
  • Lunch and coffee breaks throughout the day
  • Board games evening from 18:30
  • Tech pub quiz from 19:00

Thursday:

  • Registration from 08:00
  • Conference sessions run 09:00 to 18:00
  • Lunch and coffee breaks throughout the day
  • Thursday evening hosts the DevRoxx party – an evening social event at a local bar and microbrewery where we can come together in an informal setting

Friday:

  • Registration from 08:00
  • Conference sessions from 09:00 until circa 14:30
  • Lunch and coffee breaks throughout the day
  • Closing Keynote at 14:30
  • Conference closes at 15:30
What type of Presentations are there?
  • Conference talks are 50-minute presentations 
  • Keynotes – 20-minute opening keynotes and a 45-minute closing keynote session 
  • Tools in Action are 30 minutes presentations, demonstrating a programming tool
  • Mini Labs  are 90 minute sessions where developers work together under expert guidance to delve into a specific technology or methodology, or to work on software improvements; plugins, new features, bug fixes, improved documentation etc.
  • Byte Size are 15 minute presentations during Lunch breaks 
  • Ignite Sessions are 5 minutes in length and very, very quickfire. 20 slides autoforwarding every 15 seconds

Getting to the Business Design Centre
Local Transport
  • There are many ways to get to the venue including the London Underground, Overground and Bus networks. The nearest tube station Angel, is a five minute walk away allowing you to travel to Central London within minutes. Just a little further in the opposite direction is Highbury and Islington station, with great underground and overground connections. There are many bus stops near the venue which cover several routes in and around London.
Outside the UK
  • The venue is easily accessible for international visitors with Gatwick, Heathrow, Stanstead and London City Airport providing express train services into central London. Kings Cross St. Pancras International train station is also only a tube stop away and connects London to Europe via the Eurostar.

The local area is well served by hotels. The closest hotels to the event venue are Hilton London Islington and Premier Inn London Islington. A quick search of Hotels.com will also provide a great many results.
