As a Java developer without a formal math background, I became curious about the mathematical foundations behind AI's computation. What I discovered was that intelligent systems are often rooted in surprisingly simple mathematical concepts.
In this beginner-friendly talk, we’ll explore all the floating point operations driving AI. You'll learn that organizing these computations in vectors and matrices enables neural networks to generate text. Along the way, we’ll revisit some basics of machine-level binary number representations.

Remember how to multiply and add numbers? Basically that's all there is to it. Just lots of it. Traveling through the landscape of my talk, I'll show you that the math behind AI is more relatable than we tend to think.
