Ramanpreet Singh Khinda is a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at LinkedIn, where he leads the architecture and development of next-generation, privacy-first mobile infrastructure that empowers developers and advertisers to build responsibly in an evolving regulatory landscape.

Over the past decade, Raman has driven high-impact innovations across leading organizations including Google, Snap, and Samsung, contributing to some of the most widely used developer SDKs in the world. His work blends AI, privacy engineering, and mobile systems design, advancing the future of user trust and data ethics at scale.

Beyond his technical leadership, Raman is deeply committed to mentorship and inclusive growth in technology. He serves as a long-term mentor in LinkedIn’s Possibilities in Tech program — a four-year initiative supporting students from historically underrepresented communities through mentorship and scholarships at institutions such as Duke and Rutgers. He has also volunteered as a career coach with Grow with Google, helping early-career professionals navigate and thrive in the tech industry.

Raman is a frequent hackathon judge and mentor with Major League Hacking and university programs including Cornell, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, University of Washington, and others where he champions innovation and ethical AI among student developers. He has been invited to participate in community and industry events such as AfroTech and Grace Hopper Celebration, advocating for diversity, inclusion, and responsible AI ecosystems.

A believer in mindful leadership, Raman integrates Sikh-inspired principles of humility, stillness, and selfless service (seva) into his approach to engineering and mentorship — fostering cultures that value both excellence and empathy.

Silent Infrastructure: How Privacy-First SDKs Quietly Shape the Future of Global-Scale Mobile Apps
Tools-in-Action (INTERMEDIATE level)

Mobile SDKs power billions of experiences—from payments to AI—yet remain the most invisible and underestimated layer of the mobile ecosystem. When done right, they're silent. When done wrong, they become everyone's problem.

This session reveals the engineering principles behind privacy-first, performant, and developer-friendly SDKs that scale globally. Drawing from 12+ years building mobile infrastructure at LinkedIn, Google, and Snap.

𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧:

► 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 – Embedding compliance and user trust at the architectural level, not as an afterthought

► 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 – Optimizing for billions of users across fragmented devices, networks, and regulatory environments

►𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 – Building SDKs that developers choose to integrate, not just tolerate

►𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 – Architecting systems that evolve without collapsing under technical debt

Whether you build infrastructure or rely on it, this session unveils how thoughtful SDK design doesn't just enable mobile apps—it quietly defines their future.
