Tim Graves is a Cloud Native and open-source solutions architect working for Oracle as part of the Developer Lighthouse Program in the OCI Strategic Engagements team . He joined Oracle as part of the Sun Microsystems acquisition in 2010 having initially started at Sun in 1989.
He has been working on Cloud projects in Oracle since 2011 in the communications, Java and cloud space, in field and engineering teams.
In addition to Cloud Native Tim has worked in many parts of Sun and Oracle in the areas of operating systems, IoT, security, Java, and storage in field and headquarters roles.
When not working with computers Tim is a keen skier and an unprofessional chef.
Come along to this lab to learn how to assemble Helidon and Verrazzano services and deploy them on an enterprise container platform. Helidon is an open source microservices framework that provides a collection of Java libraries designed for creating lightweight and fast microservices-based applications. Verrazzano is an end-to-end enterprise container platform for deploying cloud-native and traditional applications in multicloud and hybrid environments.
By the end of this lab you’ll understand how these tools can can help you in your projects, including how to deploy the Helidon MP application and monitor it using Verrazzano tools, including OpenSearch, Grafana and Prometheus.
