Terms of Participation

The attendance fee for Devoxx UK is paid in relation to activities, events and schedules detailed on www.devoxx.co.uk

All tickets are subject to UK VAT at 20% of the ticket price, and is charged to all attendees, including participants travelling from abroad; EU & non-EU.

During the completion of their registration participants will be required to provide a means of payment. Payment for tickets can be completed online during the registration process, using a valid credit card, or participants can choose to pay via bank transfer. Those participants choosing to pay via bank transfer will be required to pay the organiser in full for their purchased tickets prior to the event start date. Failure to pay in a timely manner may result in refused entrance to the event. 

Cancellation of your Devoxx UK 2024 registration for any reason must be received by the organiser in writing. Cancellations can be sent to: info@devoxx.co.uk

For a full refund (minus £50GBP per ticket admin cost), cancellation notification must be received by January 5th, 2024.

For any cancellations where notification is received by the organiser between January 6th, 2023 and February 9th, 2024, a 50% refund on paid ticket price will be available . After this date, cancellation is not possible and the full ticket fee will be retained by the organiser.

You can transfer your ticket to another person until May 1st, 2024. To transfer registered tickets, please contact us stating:

  • Your ticket reservation ID
  • The first name, last name and email address of the current ticket holder
  • The full contact information of the person you wish to transfer the ticket to, including job role, company and email address.

No credits are given for late notices or no shows. The conference organiser reserves the right to rescind any registration and in that event will return 100% of the registration fee. The organiser has the right to make amendments to the program of activities and schedule for organisational and other reasons. In circumstances where a ‘Force Majeure Event’ has occurred, including but not limited to pandemic, epidemic, industrial dispute, governmental regulations or action, military action, fire, flood, disaster, civil riot, acts of terrorism or war, the organiser will, to the best of its ability, postpone the conference and attempt to reschedule to a later date. If the organiser is unable to reschedule the conference to a later date and is therefore forced to cancel it, the organiser may terminate this agreement, without liability, upon written notification. Should the conference be delayed, postponed or rescheduled registrations will remain valid. In the scenario of Devoxx UK 2024 being cancelled for any reason other than a ‘Force Majeure Event‘, ticket fees will be returned. No other claims against the organiser are valid. 

All attendees, by completing a ticket purchase or having a ticket purchased by a third party on their behalf, agree that they will help to encourage a safe and respectful atmosphere at Devoxx UK and be bound by the Devoxx UK Code of Conduct. Participants must refrain from engaging in illegal activities of any kind, and understand that they are solely responsible for their actions during Devoxx UK.

Participant data is collected by the organiser when the participant, or authorised agent of a company purchasing the ticket on behalf of the participant, completes the purchase of a ticket for Devoxx UK. This data is stored securely by the organiser of Devoxx UK and is used to send updates about Devoxx UK to the participant and purchaser of tickets via email. Emails providing general updates to participants about Devoxx UK include links allowing participants to change their mailing preferences, and unsubscribe from future update communications.

Participants will be provided a badge when they enter the Devoxx UK conference. This badge acts as their means of entry into the venue and session rooms. For security reasons participants must retain the badge at all times during their visit to the conference, and may be requested by onsite staff to show this. Failure to present a valid badge may result in ejection from the venue. The badge will contain the participants name, company name, and QR code. The QR Code will contain a unique user identification number, and may also contain name, company and email address.  The participant agrees that by allowing any of the Devoxx UK sponsors to scan the QR Code on their badge, their details can be shared with that specific sponsor, and the participant is opting in to receiving further communication from that sponsor.

Participants further understand that photos and movies may be taken during Devoxx UK which may include them. These photos and videos may be used on the Devoxx UK website, Voxxed website and other related websites, social media, streaming websites and related publications. Participants agree that their image and voice may be included on such videos, movies and recordings.
